In 1995, the band released their Steve Albini-recorded opus, “Let Me Be A Woman” on European indie label Brinkman Records. Never gratuitous though, Oxbow has always done it with class. A cast of characters with shows that have been known to push the limits of comfort, crossing over into the sometimes downright dangerous. Originally started as a recording project in 1988 from Bay-Area punk rock band Whipping Boy, their 30-plus year history is unlike any other in contemporary music, bar none.
